Jogahoh shaman man and woman side

Jogahoh man and woman,
H80 – W40 – D30 inch.
Metal structure, white tail deer scull & hip, plants and all kinds of plastic waste.

Two of the few remaining spirit creatures form the Mohawk valley marshes.

During my stay at Sculpture Space I did meet this two gnomes that live in the marsh.
The local Native Americans call them little people or Jogahoh. In the Netherlands we call them Kabouters.
They are the guardians of the natural world.
Project was supported by the mondriaan fund and New york State Council on the arts and the National Endowment for the Arts
